The DL FAQ

  • Do you provide extra cots and bedding?

Yes! Please let us know prior to your arrival if you’ll need extra cots. If you are using one of our cots or fold-down couches, you need to bring your own linens for it. Any of the regular beds will be fully turned over with fresh linens for you.

  • Can you smoke on the property?

ALL of our structures, including The Birdbath are NON-SMOKING. Please smoke outside and discard your butts in the buckets or safely in the trash after extinguishing fully. A $50 cleaning charge will be charged if there's any evidence of smoking inside

  • Is there a bathroom in the tent?

No, we have a fully on-grid bath house that has individual bathrooms with a shower, sink, and toilet. Make sure to bring towels, soap, and anything you'd need to enjoy getting sudsy out in nature.

  • Do the tents have electricity?

Yes! Each tent has several outlets, a fan, and a gas or electric fireplace.

  • Do the tents have heat?

Each tent has a fireplace that keeps the tent cozy and warm! Some tents have gas fireplaces and others have electric fireplaces.

  • Is there drinking water available?

Yes, outside of each tent there is a red hydrant you can draw safe drinking water from!

  • What should I do for food?

    • If you’re feeling adventurous, you can make your own food at your tent site! There is a large 65qt RTIC cooler on the porch of your tent.

    • Please keep any food items off of the floor of the tent and bagged up when possible, this is the woods, so if mice smell food they'll find a way to it!

    • There are lots of great restaurants in Red River Gorge! You can review our Guest Book for a list of our recommended restaurants.

  • Does my tent have a fire pit?

All guests are welcome to use the firepit in Main Camp, next to the gazebo, and the fire pit across the road from the Birdbath.

These structures have private fire pits next to their tent:
